I was planning on rehashing my trip to Colorado but I haven't had the best day. I stayed home today because my stupid R.A. can't let me recover from all the walking last week. My left ankle swelled up and it felt like a metal spike was swishing around in my small ankle and foot bones. This is really inconvenient when you have a two story home. Icing my ankle has been lots of fun. In between the icings, i've been preparing for my LAST CLASS that starts on Thursday, so that was a small bit of sunshine, anticipating my last semester.
I'm also getting more and more mad about the situation with the BFF. I've talked to her twice since I got home on Saturday and she's pissed me off both times. She's responding like its her job to take an opposing point on everything that we discuss. I always get a little down when I'm in a joint pain situation because it reminds me how much this stupid condition has changed my life, and then she's a bitch to me today. Yes, I have told her how I feel. We are seeing each other this weekend for dinner. Sweetbaby asked if I really want to see her and I'm kind of thinking that I should cancel. I'm going to try and ask again what the deal is if she does the same argumentative thing with me.
On a related note, The ex-BFF was discussed in Colorado very briefly. Steffie asked if I have talked to her lately so I assumed that she hadn't contacted her recently either. Her? 6 months; Me? 2 years. They used to work together and just didn't keep in touch after she left the company Steffie works for. I didn't get into what happened between us. One thing about Caryn was that she was always fun and just funny as hell.
Anyway, I'll rehash the visit to Colorado sometime this week. I will say that it was the BEST! I haven't laughed that much for a whole week for a long time. Seeing David, Steffie and Doug meant non-stop fun. Old friends are awesome.

A New Post
Its been a while and I don't really have a reason to post something except that I'm awake.
I'm baking a pound cake for a friends birthday and I'm kinda stuck being awake until I complete the task.
I should be better about starting a project a little earlier.
Sooo Whats up with y'all?
Does anyone still blog?

Monday, Monday
I was reminded this morning that I have a blog. woops!
This could have not been more of a Monday, than any Monday that I've had before.
I'm not the best at getting out of bed. Our alarm clock goes off at 6am but Dave gets to the bathroom first and I check out my email from my phone. It's like this pretty much everyday. I sleepily open my phone and head to Yahoo mail.
What awaited for me was an email rehashing a kind of a rift, from a very dear friend. I will own half of the cause of this mess but I had a good year-ish to let it go and move on. I just didn't fill this person in that I had moved on and we are still the dearest of friends.
Anyway, I still love you baby, always will.
After I got over the "Holy Shit, Good Morning Monday" I was able to type back very simply that things are A-OK. Within the hour I was laughing to hysterics at our old ebb and flow of conversation.
Anyway, I also dropped toothpaste on my pants, lost a contact, couldn't find one of the shoes that I wanted to wear and dropped my purse down the stairs, spilling the contents. So now I'm on the road, knowing that I'm late getting to work.
I work 15 miles from home. Oh at about mile 12, I discover that I don't have my badge. I can't get past the armed guards to get on campus and I would be able to get into the building without it. I was an hour late getting in.
This is one bright shining moment. When I got home and retrieved the badge I discovered that my top was inside out and was able to fix that.
I am awesome.
***UPDATE***
I forgot to add that I had just woken up from one of those dreams that seem sooo real. Dave was trying to have me committed and it was really scary.

Training Day
Ok its more like training three weeks.
My two teams are going through a new training "thing". I am there to learn along with them but I'm not officially enrolled and am not held to any measurement at the end. If I'm getting paid for it, I'm good.
So we do the usually, "lets go around the table and tell everyone who you are, how long have you worked here and one thing that no one knows about you". Its been the same introduction in every meeting or new classroom training since I've been there.
"I'm Anne, I've been here 4 years and I'm a Star Wars nerd"
Really easy, right?
I end up asking conversation starters for my 16 minions (the other half are taking this training later) because (whiny voice) they can't think of anything.
I asked the guy next to me, "How did you propose to your wife?" Everyone ended up answering the same question (I don't know why) but discovered that people really like those cute engagement stories. Once again, I'm the weirdo who doesn't put much stock in romanticisms and did NOT share her casual conversation of marital agreement, while driving in the car on the way to a local fast food establishment in 1996.

Bullet Points to Catch Up
Bullet points are a cop out, yes, to a real post but I'm trying to add something in here. At least its not a meme. You should see my facebook notes. Its Meme-tastic over there.
- There is a "mean-girl" at work who is discovering that her outbursts directed at others is affecting how people want to work with her. More than a few people have mentioned that they don't understand why she can't be as nice and sunshine-y as me. WOW, I'm doing really well in hiding my evilness
- My request for Academic Renewal was approved. My sucky GPA from 1989 at ASU has been wiped out and I now have a non-loser GPA. yay for me!
- I LOVE http://www.picnik.com/ Because I made this. I found the picture, made it look polaroid-y and added the note. yummy

- I had a very interesting question from the boyfriend before the husband on my facebook. The one thing that I can't stand about typed messages is that I can't decipher the meaning behind the question because I can't hear his voice and I can't type a question to clear up whatever my misunderstanding is. And I don't have his phone number. And I now get the feeling that a phone call wouldn't be welcome from me. But really, its a small thing I'm over it, just this whole Facebook thing is a bit strange, just for reasons like this.
- I can't wait for Big Love this sunday. It's going to show part of the endowment ceremony in the Mormon temple. Yes, I used to be Mormon and this show gives me such joy when I see things in it that most wouldn't see. Things that are SOO Mormon. Also things that I thought were normal, meaning that I didn't see why the pieces of it were out of the ordinay. I mentioned a few of those things to the guy I mentioned above (in 1992, 1993, 1994; not about the show just about the religious teachings of that church) and not only did he tell me that they were strange but why, which started those baby steps to Atheism.
- I'm still forging ahead in watching all the seasons of House. I love this show, I love Hugh Laurie.
- The BFF got me to purchase a DVD player without region codes. Region codes only allow the DVD's to be played from certain regions of the globe. My US player won't play UK dvd's, for instance. This one has the region codes removed. I am now catching up on a BBC series that I could only purchase from Amazon.UK
- It looks like we really might be going to Ireland in August. I talked to my sister in law, yesterday about what needs to happen for us to go, news about the nieces boyfriends and what the nephews are up to. I might get to go to a UK wedding. I will need a fabulous hat! Yay!

November already, really?
I'm supposed to be cleaning. My sister is coming in tomorrow night, then my sisters and I will be heading to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. Dave will stay here, since he can't get away from work. Dontcha worry, he has his plans in place for the Holiday.
So I noticed that I've disappeared from my little tiny spot on the 'net.
Just a little health setback and some obligations to others, have taken over my time.
and of course, Facebook time. That facebook thing is strange but magical. Initially, It's really nice to connect with people you haven't talked to in a while, but then communication drops off and then they get random updates when you do a quiz when you're bored. Is it okay (I mean normal, unstrange;I'm not looking for validation) to have the boy (now man) you lost your virginity to as a friend on Facebook? I've been told that it's really not that uncommon.
I had my boss ask me to clarify a Facebook update for her during a one on one meeting. She thought that I was joking but it was funnier, I guess, when I told her the truth about it.
Moving on,
So I haven't felt my best, but my promises to catch up with a bunch of family and friends kind of obligated me to open up my home to them for the past 4 Saturdays. Since I wasn't feeling so hot, I couldn't really help with all the cleaning for long, so poor Dave got my input on how he was doing in the cleaning department. Good times, good times.
One more time. This Saturday, the family is coming over AGAIN to see my sister, since she is staying with me. It will be fine. I will exhaust myself and the pain can be pushed back with 1 glass of red wine or a bottle of beer. See! Half glass full! I can relax in Vegas.
Really not much else to report, at the moment, Job is good, School is Good, Life is good. Yeah that's about it.

a glimpse into my evening
We arrived home to greet Dave's best friend Dan, who's been working on the bathroom renovation. While the boys were upstairs, I sent a text to my work boyfriend to see how things are going.
My work boyfriend is going through some major medical life changing issues so I've been trying to send him texts everyday. Thanks, by the way, for the picture, if you happen to stop by here.
Then after Dan left, Dave and I decided to have Brinner. Uh huh, Breakfast for dinner...and a glass of red wine. Yes I finally got my glass of wine.
While the food was cooking, the tv was on Clerks II so I had a little dance party of one to Samantha Fox' Naughty Girls Need Love Too. Dave just looks puzzled at me as I dance around him.
He's just jealous of my moves... I've run into that before with the men in my life.
Its a good life

ahhh newsies
Last night was really an unhappy time for me. I like to think I'm invincible but apparently I'm not because when some symptoms of my chronic affliction returned, I was angry and sad. I have been feeling really really tired for the last month. You know when people started ask you, "Are you ok?" Yeah I get it, I look tired. When symptoms associated with major pain and limited mobility come back then i feel like I'm at the bottom of that hill I've been climbing since 1997.
What does a girl do when she is down? She needs some Christian Bale, and she wants him singing and dancing.
At my lowest moment, I surfed through my guide and found my pick me up. Newsies was on. Thank You, Batman!
Things are better today.
Moving on...
I finished my final today, and my last paper. All done for the 1st summer term and I will start a new class on Monday, Religion and Moral Issues. I can't wait!

the full monty
Scene: Lomper and Guy are running from the law in red leather g strings and sliding through an open window.
me: Ouch, Isn't he going to scrape his junk, yikes!
dave: Not to mention he can burn himself on that radiator under the window.
me: No chance in that. They don't turn the heat on over there.
Pros about the movie

tired tired tired
iPod is playing Stealing My Love from Me by Lulu. I've always wanted to dance like the kids in To Sir with Love and I practice to this song.
I'm tired, everyone's tired. For me it's the weird weather. I bitched about the heat coming and then it rained yesterday. go figure.
I was planning on an evening with the girls on Friday, but the host had to postpone our evening of red wine and gossip by the fire pit. I texted Toddster to see if we could go to one of our memorable happy hours but he's not available until next friday. Always guaranteed to be a happy couple of hours except we can't go back to a particular restaurant due to the graphic nature of our conversation overhead by our waitress the last time we were there. The hand motions to illustrate your story was not helping either. Thanks alot Toddster! My day was also hectic and loooong, so these little tiny disappointments were bringing me down.
When we came home and flipped on the tv, I had an instant lift in my attitude. Smokey and the Bandit was on and it was about the time when Snowman drives his semi over the hippie's bikes. I watched until just after Bandit "slid into the rocking chair". It's the small things that make me happy.
Time for the news and bed...
