Its been a while and I don't really have a reason to post something except that I'm awake.
I'm baking a pound cake for a friends birthday and I'm kinda stuck being awake until I complete the task.
I should be better about starting a project a little earlier.
Sooo Whats up with y'all?
Does anyone still blog?

Normal
Ah Sunday, still my favorite day of the week.
I wish that I had something exciting to report but its the same old, same old around here.
I'm still working for that darn bachelor's. At the moment I'm in an internet class, Social Anthropology. I was wondering when I was going to read "Yanomamö, during my college career and its here already. I have about 5 classes until I'm done. The trouble is finding the classes I need to fit my work schedule.
Works good, nothing to report there. No other activity from the girl who who wanted to be my best friend. I tend to stay out of her way. I do hear that she's backed off from others, as well.
I've been a little more social than normal, and I don't really like it. I've met some girls after work for movies, cocktails and dinner more that a few times in the last couple of weeks. I really like these people but I sooo love my solitude, I feel like I'm impatient, waiting for the time to go home. Yeah, I know that it sets me up for my eventual end; dying alone 2 weeks before the neighbors report me missing and they find my 30 cats have eaten my face. I already came to terms with that end in my angsty teenage years. I'm happy not being bothered. Dave is just fine about this by the way. He has many outside interest that keeps him occupied when I want to stay home. As long as he comes home with coffee for me when he returns, he gets to do what he wants, mostly.
Saturday, was spent with the BFF and Ginger (the red-headed BFF's husband) at cocktails and then a movie. Our bartender, Mixtress Melissa, is a new transplant from Idaho. She shared the same views on non-God and non-Children so we invited her and her husband Andrew to see The Hangover, and they happily accepted. Before, the arrival of Andrew, we girls started talking about boys from our past. Well, mostly because Melissa is young, newly married and has very small issues about marriage and love that we've all had. Not much to say, really, I had a handful of boyfriends, only one really good one, and then I got married to the one that I was supposed to marry. Supposed to, meaning, timing, trust, love, lives in Phoenix and won't move, my mother liked him a lot. It was a good start and only got better. The point is me rehashing what worked and what didn't isn't going to help someone else. Just like I did, you need to live it and take away what you need to, to leave or stay and make it work.
And The Hangover I loved. If you see it, you will know exactly how disturbed an individual I am. After it ended, I said that we need to watch this every Christmas.

Monday, Monday
I was reminded this morning that I have a blog. woops!
This could have not been more of a Monday, than any Monday that I've had before.
I'm not the best at getting out of bed. Our alarm clock goes off at 6am but Dave gets to the bathroom first and I check out my email from my phone. It's like this pretty much everyday. I sleepily open my phone and head to Yahoo mail.
What awaited for me was an email rehashing a kind of a rift, from a very dear friend. I will own half of the cause of this mess but I had a good year-ish to let it go and move on. I just didn't fill this person in that I had moved on and we are still the dearest of friends.
Anyway, I still love you baby, always will.
After I got over the "Holy Shit, Good Morning Monday" I was able to type back very simply that things are A-OK. Within the hour I was laughing to hysterics at our old ebb and flow of conversation.
Anyway, I also dropped toothpaste on my pants, lost a contact, couldn't find one of the shoes that I wanted to wear and dropped my purse down the stairs, spilling the contents. So now I'm on the road, knowing that I'm late getting to work.
I work 15 miles from home. Oh at about mile 12, I discover that I don't have my badge. I can't get past the armed guards to get on campus and I would be able to get into the building without it. I was an hour late getting in.
This is one bright shining moment. When I got home and retrieved the badge I discovered that my top was inside out and was able to fix that.
I am awesome.
***UPDATE***
I forgot to add that I had just woken up from one of those dreams that seem sooo real. Dave was trying to have me committed and it was really scary.

Training Day
Ok its more like training three weeks.
My two teams are going through a new training "thing". I am there to learn along with them but I'm not officially enrolled and am not held to any measurement at the end. If I'm getting paid for it, I'm good.
So we do the usually, "lets go around the table and tell everyone who you are, how long have you worked here and one thing that no one knows about you". Its been the same introduction in every meeting or new classroom training since I've been there.
"I'm Anne, I've been here 4 years and I'm a Star Wars nerd"
Really easy, right?
I end up asking conversation starters for my 16 minions (the other half are taking this training later) because (whiny voice) they can't think of anything.
I asked the guy next to me, "How did you propose to your wife?" Everyone ended up answering the same question (I don't know why) but discovered that people really like those cute engagement stories. Once again, I'm the weirdo who doesn't put much stock in romanticisms and did NOT share her casual conversation of marital agreement, while driving in the car on the way to a local fast food establishment in 1996.

that show on sunday
I got creeped out at the end when Bill recited the prayer over the sacrament, BECAUSE I WAS SAYING IT ALONG WITH HIM AND DIDN'T REALIZE IT! Blech.
So, when is True Blood coming back?

Saturday is Fun
My current Facebook status says, "After I left the salon, the manicurist asked my BFF HOW I married a WHITE GUY"
Saturday morning Talullah Toyota, (the given name of my 4Runner) had to get her oil changed. Dave dropped me at the salon then came and picked me up at noon. I had a nail appointment at the same time that my best friend, Heather, had an appointment with our hair guy, Tony, so after she saw how cute my nails were she decided to get a manicure while her hair color was setting. I was chatted with her and Tony and the manicurist when Dave walked in. He stepped over to say hello to Tony while Heather and I wrapped up our conversation about meeting later that day for pomagranate martinis and a movie.
The manicurist asked if that was my friend and I said that's my husband, said goodbye to everyone and left.
So we meet Heather and Dean for food at about 3pm and she tells me what happened after I left. The manicurist asked Heather if that was my friend and she said no that's her husband.
M: That's her HUSBAND!?! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?! HE'S SO LIGHT!?!
Then she asks Heather about my history with Dave, How did we meet, how long did we date, how long have we been married...?
Seriously I find this completly funny.
I update my status on Twitter (which updates Facebook) then send a message to the only former boyfriend on Facebook that apparently I was lucky to have him since he is white. Totally funny. Anyway, It's the main reason why I dated him, because he's white (jk) I am a smart ass, can you tell?
Anyway, the martinis were amazing and the movie was really good. I am totally smitten with Jason Segal and Paul Rudd.
Its probably because they're white guys.

I am so freaking tired
Bloody hell, I'm beat
I neglected to finish my homework for this evening so last night I stayed after class, went to the library and stayed til 11pm to complete the assignment.
This where I know I'm not invincible. I felt like I hadn't slept a wink waking up. I was assisting a new employee today, I was basically a person sitting nearby to answer questions. Torturous when all you want to do is sleep.
Two things brightened my day.
Toddster has a new haircut and he looks quite cute. He came by to say hello when I was waiting my turn to get a sandwich made. He said hello by blowing on my neck. We discussed the gang coming over to the house in a few weekends. We have to use the patio before Spring starts and the temperatures climb into the 90's
Professor Hottie paused in front of me, tilted his head slightly and smiled, inhaled, exhaled and handed me my test (96%! its because I'm awesome). It was all in slow motion. sigh. Well..it felt like it was in slow motions to me.

this weeks episode
The endowment ceremony was shown along with some dialogue that probably passed by lots of non-mormons ears but REALLY shocked me that they ACTUALLY really said. Watching the ritual was really jarring for me.
Unresolved issues? I guess so!
I'm okay now
Unresolved issues? I guess so!
- First I started crying
- then I wanted to throw up
- then I thought about what it would have been like living in that world if I had married that guy
- then I knew that I could never live in that environment and would have been pretty devastating to break away if I had let my membership continue in that church
- then I felt sorry for those people that I loved who really believed this stuff LIKE MY PARENTS
- Then I remembered that my father and my aunt were dressed in the temple clothes for their funerals
- So that image made me want to throw up again.
- I was finally relieved that I'm not in that community that it was all made up
I'm okay now

Bullet Points to Catch Up
Bullet points are a cop out, yes, to a real post but I'm trying to add something in here. At least its not a meme. You should see my facebook notes. Its Meme-tastic over there.
- There is a "mean-girl" at work who is discovering that her outbursts directed at others is affecting how people want to work with her. More than a few people have mentioned that they don't understand why she can't be as nice and sunshine-y as me. WOW, I'm doing really well in hiding my evilness
- My request for Academic Renewal was approved. My sucky GPA from 1989 at ASU has been wiped out and I now have a non-loser GPA. yay for me!
- I LOVE http://www.picnik.com/ Because I made this. I found the picture, made it look polaroid-y and added the note. yummy

- I had a very interesting question from the boyfriend before the husband on my facebook. The one thing that I can't stand about typed messages is that I can't decipher the meaning behind the question because I can't hear his voice and I can't type a question to clear up whatever my misunderstanding is. And I don't have his phone number. And I now get the feeling that a phone call wouldn't be welcome from me. But really, its a small thing I'm over it, just this whole Facebook thing is a bit strange, just for reasons like this.
- I can't wait for Big Love this sunday. It's going to show part of the endowment ceremony in the Mormon temple. Yes, I used to be Mormon and this show gives me such joy when I see things in it that most wouldn't see. Things that are SOO Mormon. Also things that I thought were normal, meaning that I didn't see why the pieces of it were out of the ordinay. I mentioned a few of those things to the guy I mentioned above (in 1992, 1993, 1994; not about the show just about the religious teachings of that church) and not only did he tell me that they were strange but why, which started those baby steps to Atheism.
- I'm still forging ahead in watching all the seasons of House. I love this show, I love Hugh Laurie.
- The BFF got me to purchase a DVD player without region codes. Region codes only allow the DVD's to be played from certain regions of the globe. My US player won't play UK dvd's, for instance. This one has the region codes removed. I am now catching up on a BBC series that I could only purchase from Amazon.UK
- It looks like we really might be going to Ireland in August. I talked to my sister in law, yesterday about what needs to happen for us to go, news about the nieces boyfriends and what the nephews are up to. I might get to go to a UK wedding. I will need a fabulous hat! Yay!
I'm over it because I have to be
All right I'm sick of this shit!
I privatized my blog and then it is such a goddamn pain for ME to get into that I even stopped going there.
I promised to start writing here again and then some douche decides that I'm her answer to her lonely life.
fuck her.
I'm not making any other accommodations to change my day because of that asshole. I stopped doing it at work. That's where I see her, at work. I actually completely forget about her and she works 20 feet away from me. She hasn't approached me since whenever this all went down, but she keeps staring at me like a sad puppy dog when she walks by.
I think about her when I think that I want to write here and I think its a pain to get into the stupid account and I say forget it.
Well not anymore.

was going to be a post
about how someone believing in a higher power affects me, but decided to get back into bed,
not me, I'm not the believing one.
not me, I'm not the believing one.
Sunday midday
Well Hello,
I'm having a little trouble getting back into the habit of typing in here. This weekend is the perfect example as to why.
Incredible weekend, I really felt like I was able to have some fun.
At my current job, I have to bid for days off for the next year, each November. Of course I bid for prime weeks, like the holidays, but I also bid for at least one Friday each month for mental health days. Yesterday was a Friday mental health day. This coincided with our annual bonus, received Thursday.
I headed to the MAC store to get some ridiculously overpriced makeup brushes and as I walked in I was directed to a chair for a make over with MAC's Hello Kitty palette. I then walked into a few stores with many staring at my blue, blue shadowed eyes and I had to explain what the deal was.
Friday night, I got a drink at a restaurant I've always wanted to visit, got an amazing gelato and found some good linguine with white clam sauce, just a mile from my house.
Saturday, waxing (boo) and haircut (yay) then onto lunch with the BFF, her husband and my husband. We had quite a gap of time until our chosen movie was going to start so we headed to our favorite Italian food chain restaurant for pomegranate martinis, served by Dariya the mixtress. I called her the mixtress after the 2nd martini.
Saw Slumdog Millionaire. Just amazing.
Then headed to the BFF's house for pizza, absinthe and a hookah, with cappuccino flavored tobacco.
Which brings me here. Yes, lots of stuff happened, some really great dialogue with strangers, salon people, the BFF and the BFF spouse but I don't want to try and remember, I want to relax. I'm old, I have laundry to do and I'm trying to enjoy a coffee and a raspberry scone while watching the Independant Film awards. Tonight are the Oscars. I need a nap, I need to study for a quiz and I need to take the cat to the vet at 4pm.
I think this is all coming down to some justification for me getting and iPhone. I can blog as I go and my journal will be much more up to date and entertaining for me.
yeah, I need an iPhone.

Privacy, Please
Yup, I am going private for a bit. I suspect that it will be fairly temporary. I sent 6 invites out just giving a heads up to anyone who might still come by here.
Just to explain, there is an extra special person from work who is insisting that we will be bff's (that would be best friends forever). I am not the only targeted one, but so far I am the only one who has outright said that we will never have a friendship outside of work and she responded right back that we will be friends someday. Creepy.
I left this little bit of space up on my monitor at work. I was showing one of my friends the picture of my latest purchase when SHE walked up to horn in on the conversation. I thought that I had the address covered but statcounter tells me that I had a little visitor. That little visitor paid a visit to all of my pages that same night.
It's okay that someone looks at all the postings in here, really, I promise. The timing just was too skin crawling coincidental.
So, if you are here because of my invite, welcome to my humble spot. Again, I suspect that I just need to hide this for a few months and then back to my regular, not posting or posting about the mundane, with really bad sentence construction and non-punctuation.

Impulse buy

I went to Revolutionary Road with Joanna, last night at Camelview. We had some time so we headed into Fashion Square to find some food and I had to walk through the Macy's purse section. They have a big chunk of that store filled with purses. I picked this up on the way out of the mall and on my way to the movie. Super Cute, huh?
The movie was amazing, by the way.

Black Currants
At Costco earlier today, in the cereal section...
me: This looks good, black currants and walnuts
Dave: I hate black currants
me: this cereal is mine, pick one for yourself
He picks something with cranberries and macadamia nuts
Just now, I'm having my new cereal for my evening meal,
me: this cereal is pretty good, I love the black currants, how come you don't like them?
Dave: because they taste like crap
me: I love this cereal
Dave: then you love eating crap with milk pored over it.

Good and Bad Day
- I had my performance evaluation today. I'm getting a bonus that I am a little bit embarrassed to receive during these economic times. I'm paying off my car and will use the rest for tickets to Ireland.
- The girl who has tried to force me to be my friends had TWO conversations with me today, not understanding that we will never be friends and is under the delusion that we once were BFF's. Why me?

Another attempt
Blog Blog Blog
What to say.
I actually have had some great ideas stick in my lil ole brain this past week, but have never gotten around to jotting them down on the notepad I keep in my handbag. I always have a notepad for jotting and just have gotten lazy.
Well, lets talk about today. We had to take Mike and Seamus to the vet. This resulted in scrubbing and neosporin-ing parts of Dave. Seamus knew the jig was up and gots some well placed deep scratches during his abduction.
We then headed to a family birthday. I love the family birthday's because I feel like I can be myself. Yes, I do feel that in my own home but its nice to know that when I say really awful things about children, puppies and zombie attacks, my friends will share the same views.
Wow. I really need to make sure I jot down ideas. BORING SO FAR!
Maybe I'm stuck because the Flight of the Conchords on playing behind me. I love Bret.
I'm loving school so far. I'm taking a class on world politics. The professor is amazing. She talks the big concepts in a very easily understood way. I also had the great privilege of watching her telling a student that they "were wrong and here's why".
Lovely.
My other class in baby-steps, remedial, basic qualitative research is being taught by professor hottie. Yes, he is beautiful but very scrattered in his lecture. My frustration in trying to follow him is swept away when he flips his hair and does his half smile with his perfect white teeth as he laughs at his own jokes. What's not to love? What was a great advantage for me was that his first lecture was almost exactly the same as my previous class with him last summer. He's a sociologist so he loves bending society rules and then tells his students about it. His anecdotes are amusing and, again, he flips his hair and smiles at his own stories.
Me?
Reading?
I read the eight books in the Southern Vampire series in one week
That's right
All eight in one week.
Loved them
Watching?
Housewives of Orange County
Big Love
Flight of the Conchords - I love Bret.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl - Callum Blue is in the first 3 episodes. Love him! But really I have a thing for dark haired boys. British boys too. Look I get them both in Callum.!
House - Have loved Hugh Laurie since my preteens
Listening to?
Nothing new
I have been putting iPod on shuffle and finding music that I had forgotten that I have. Very good memories unearthed, but some really weird things have played, sometimes. Why do I have the Perry Mason theme? I have some work buddies who are a decade younger then me and they have some really great suggestions for me.
I guess that this is a pretty good effort in the blogging area. I will be more diligent in the jotting area so that i can remember what has happened in the very near past.
Have a good night! I am.
What to say.

trying, still trying
I made some sort of declaration that I would start typing something in here. See, this is already bad news because this is going to start the year off with random bullet points...sigh...
- So I had a co-worker try to force a friendship with ME. I got 6 emails with "Did I offend you?" "Let's go out to dinner and catch up!" All occurred within 1 hour. I squashed her soul and explained that she is not going to fit into my non-work life. Very Creepy.
- Christmas was low key. My sister was in town for a month. She's my favorite but I'm a hermit, so it was uncomfortable for me to have someone hanging around all the time. I like Christmas, I don't love it. It's all fine as soon as I hear Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano and Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives. That's all I need for the holidays. Oh and Dave.
- That Jon and Kate plus 8 show is something that I'm just discovering. Kate is really mean to Jon.
- The latest Facebook wierdness. So far I had the friend that I lost my virginity to (who just had a baby days ago), the last boyfriend before Dave and I just added my date to a 6th grade valentine's party. I think its cool but very strange at the same time.

Ah 2009
Yes, Yes I have not written anything about my day in a very very long time. Survey's don't count and I am aware that I've used them for blog filler for quite a while.
I keep meaning to type in the interesting stuff that has happened during the day. The Christmas Eve conversation about making the dead parrot in the freezer into a mummy or my recent stalker at work experience would have made interesting reading.
By the time I think to get back to this space, its been a few days and I don't remember the details like I want and some other adventure has happened.
So I'm going to be more diligent about typing here, is I guess, my new year's resolution. I don't do resolutions normally but if I have to name one, well there it is.
Stay Tuned and be careful out there
